Naseej Workshop, which is located at Al-Madam SLC branch, was the first specialist female workspace designed to empower Emirati women in the emirate of Sharjah. The Workshop realised the vision of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, and Her Highness SheikhaJawaharbint Mohammed Al Qasimi, Chairperson of the Supreme Council for Family Affairs, who stressed the importance of enhancing the role of women in society, especially in the central and eastern regions of the emirate of Sharjah. Girls and women were encouraged to take up the design profession and turn it into high-quality production projects capable of enhancing the contribution of Emirati women to one of the world’s fastest growing industries. The project was welcomed by Her Highness
SheikhaBodourbint Sultan Al Qasimi, Chairperson of Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq).
The main objective behind the establishment of Naseej Workshop is to support women; to empower them economically and professionally so they can overcome the challenges that stand in the way of achieving their aspirations, and enhance their effective presence in the economic and social spheres and their contribution to the rapid development taking place in the State.
The Workshop also seeks to achieve a communal partnership with government and private entities through entering into contracts with them to produce their official uniforms. As a result, the Workshop has been fully equipped to provide all the operations of garment production, with the support of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce. It includes several specialized sections such as for cutting, embroidery, sewing, inspection and packing. Production is carried out by Emirati women trained to be project leaders in the area.

We believe in the great impact and the great role that women play in society and their efforts to invest in their capabilities increasingly.

We confirm the directives of the wife of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah, Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher Bint Mohammed Al Qassimi, the Chairperson of the Supreme Council for Family Affairs (SCFA), to enable women in all fields. The idea of establishing branches of Sharjah Ladies Clubs came in line with the vision of Her Highness to develop the services that women need and that contribute in a tangible way to the development of women and the expansion of their achievements. Whereas the branches of Sharjah Ladies Clubs are considered the link between women and the relevant authorities in the field of enablement. Therefore, we always strive to inspire women in a creative way that develops a passion for development in their all related aspects.
