SHARJAH: In celebration of Emirati women’s achievements, their role as mothers and educators and their contribution to building the community, Sharjah Ladies Club (SLC) branches at Al Dhaid, Al Bataeh, Al Hamriya, Al Madam and Al Thamid are commemorating Emirati Women’s Day by organising an exciting programme of activities and providing special membership offers.

The celebrations align with SLC’s dedication to engaging with local and global community events which celebrate women in all fields. It also highlights their role in promoting support and empowerment for women in social, professional and economic development.

We would like to express our appreciation to every Emirati woman who plays her role in driving development,” she added. As part of the Emirati Women’s Day celebrations, the Al Dhaid SLC branch has offered ladies a free Zumba day, the Al Bataeh SLC branch will provide a 10 per cent discount on ‘Layaqa Fitness Centre’ membership, and the Al Thamid SLC branch will offer a 50 per cent discount on the Zumba sessions.

The Al Hamriya SLC branch will hold a discussion panel for SLC staff that explores the most significant achievements of Emirati women over the past 40 years, and the Al Madam SLC branch will honour six Emirati employees in recognition of their remarkable achievements.

The SLC Branches staff commended the efforts of Amna Al Shanasi, Manager of SLC Branches, and presented her with the medal of ‘Outstanding Emirati Woman’ at the event, in recognition of her tireless efforts and contribution.
